How did you arrive at running this business? What path brought you here?
I went to Bentley a business school outside of Boston and I was a business management
major, during my senior year I interned for a company called Northwest Financial and
started to help consumers with their lending needs.
Fast forward over 20 years later and I’m still in the same industry. What I do as a
mortgage loan officer is important, it helps individuals and families and I get to take part in their American Dream of homeownership.
What are you known for professionally? What do you have a knack for?
With my clients I am known for educating them throughout every step of the loan process. The feedback from the surveys completed at the end of the loan process is that "Tracie and her team went above and beyond communicating the next steps".
Since I’ve been in the mortgage lending business for so long I can easily interpret a client’s situation and provide them the best options to meet their mortgage needs. My team and I provide speed and efficiency in the mortgage loan process which sets me apart from other mortgage lenders. With my referral partners what sets me apart is the value that I provide. I have a true passion to help others find ways to grow their business. I love marketing and finding ways to get the message out about my team and how we love what we do.
Who have you worked with in the past? And what have you done for them?
I have worked with all types of clients, ranging from first time homebuyers to multiple property investors. To me, any opportunity I get to speak with someone to help them figure out how they might be able to become a homeowner is a great opportunity.
At Supreme Lending, we also have an amazing VA loan program option for those that have served or are retired from serving our country. Anytime I can help them, and their family get into a home of their dreams is a special time.
What are you most passionate about professionally? What most excites you about your work & the contribution you can make?
I’m passionate about the people I work with, not only my team that helps make the home buying or refinancing process easy for our clients, but I’m passionate about the clients that I help every day. It is often that a loan officer will just tell a buyer no without explanation or communication. I pride myself on treating every client the same and experiencing their gratefulness in taking the time to explain how buying a home works and if they don’t qualify today how they can qualify down the road.
I strive to be a community market leader, through the non-profit organizations I belong to and the associations within the real estate industry I am party of.
Where can we find you when you’re not working?
What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon?
Honestly, the job of a mortgage loan officer doesn’t stop on the weekends. That is usually when a client is out looking for the home of their dreams, so it is important that my team is available everyday of the week.
My favorite way to spend the weekend is a stroll down the local farmer’s market, hitting the gym, trying to catch a sunset at the beach and spending time with friends and family. A good binge watch of a Netflix series isn’t too bad either.
How long have you been doing what you do?
I started in this business in 1997 while in college and haven’t looked back. It is what I know and love and have over 20 years of experience helping families achieve the dream of homeownership
Where did you grow up and why aren't you there now?
I Grew up on Long Island, no accent though! I went to college at Bentley which is a private business school outside of Boston. I played soccer in college and after graduation moved into a house with a few friends for 2 years and then an opportunity presented itself to visit San Diego which I did and the first visit I decided to drive across the country and transfer with my job only a few months later. I visit back east to see family but you can’t beat calling San Diego home.
What Associations are you a part of?
I am part of several organizations that help support education, influence and opportunity inside and outside of the real estate community. I am part of the Education Committee at the Poway Chamber of Commerce, I am a member of MARYAH which is the Metro Area Real Estate Agents for Youth Housing, A board member of WCR which is Women’s Council of Realtors, a member of SDAR which is the San Diego Association of Realtors, and a member of NAGLREP which is the National Association of Gay and Lesbian Real Estate Professionals. These organizations all promote education and fair housing for individuals.
Anything else you'd like to tell people about yourself?
There are so many mortgage loan officers in San Diego, and throughout California that it easier to find the wrong one instead of the right one. I want people to know that I truly value
the clients I work with and will not consider them a number or a paycheck, that when I take
on a new client they are some one that I want to keep for life. If you are even thinking about
buying or refinancing a home please give my team an opportunity to prove to you how easy of an experience it could be.
